So Europe’s pretty cool. Museums, mountains, bonfires, buttresses, baby coots, bike polo and Pictoplasma—eye opening to say the least! And turns out castles really do exist after all. Funny being in buildings five times older than Canada.

And now after a few months on the road (or rather train tracks) I’m back in London for the time being, working on some fun stuff that I’ll hopefully be able to post soon. Still being a tourist when I can, though, and watching soccer football for the first time in my life.

A few sketches from the trip:

Sweet, Hazed is going to be at Pictoplasma Berlin!

Well, I’m off to London for a little while, followed by some other places in Europe. I’m pretty excited. I want to see an old building. I don’t know if I’ll be able to post to this site, but maybe I can do twitter. We’ll see!

I made a little eCard animation over at JibJab (it’s the one at the top left called Birthday Bunnies) which was pretty fun to do, doodling rabbits and stuff. Everybody should send it to all their friends in honour of the late great James Doohan’s birthday today!

Finally posted some better shots of Sir Reginald’s Logbook. Thanks Emily! I also was cleaning up my drive and found a bit of old development artwork for Gesundheit! that I posted.

I’m packing now for a big trip to Europe, and I’m trying to learn French watching the French versions of Pixar movies. Ratatouille’s a good one for that because the words rat, chef, restaurant and ratatouille are all the same and understanding them makes me feel smart.

Anyway, I’m going to be gone for a little while but hopefully I will learn and draw and be productive and not just talk on Skype the whole time!

Just posted some pages from another couple sketchbooks, which pretty much brings me up to date there.

I’ve been working on the Gesundheit! game a bunch lately. It’s been dragging on for too long. I gotta get it done! And whenever I get back into it I remember just how satisfying it is to script something and have it actually start working…

The danger is when I go too long without getting other people to try it, and I end up designing levels for someone who’s clocked a million hours on it (me) instead of normal mortals!

A couple more sketchbooks added. I’ve been animating for Gesundheit! a lot lately… when I’m not playing lovely, lovely Ico.

I’m moving soon, but before that I’m going through my sketchbook crate to take some photos before they get packed up. I don’t fill up books as fast as I used to, because I’m doing more digitally, and also when I sketch at work on a big table I like to sketch on big paper… but these are just excuses and I should really be doing more sketchbooks! I’ll add that to the 2010 list. Anyway, I posted a new old book, and there’s more to come.

I went on a last minute trip to Montreal the other weekend for my very first Expozine, which was awesome even though it was rainy and the church basement felt like the inside of a boot. While I was in town, I went to a rock show where if you stuck a drawing to the wall you’d get three bucks off your ticket. In this economy that seemed good to me, so I drew some raptors having a party.

My new year’s resolution will be to make some drawings that aren’t about dying horribly.

Hazed is playing at the Naked Frames Festival in Toronto this Friday.  This’ll actually be my first chance to see it on a real screen so that’ll be neat although I’m also scared. It’s at the Revue, November 13 at 9:30.

My Halloween costume this year. Hmm… Looking at it again, I think it’s a little more phallic than I had intended (at least consciously).

Hey, new website. Check it out.
